A Research Fellow obtained a PhD degree with at least 10 years of relevant research experience such as in Ironmaking, Steelmaking & Casting, Steel Rolling, Surface Engineered Products, Coating Materials and Technologies, Materials Design and Physical Metallurgy, Applications Technologies (e.g joining and forming)

You will use your expert knowledge for technological product and process implementation

As a Research Fellow at the Global Research & Development (R&D) of Tata Steel, you will be offered the opportunity to use your international expert knowledge for implementation in the production processes of Tata Steel. You will be responsible for the main research programs of Tata Steel and determine, within the overall strategy of Tata Steel, which leading research programs are relevant. You will work in close cooperation with collaborators, prominent researchers from various disciplines in an open, international and academic culture with highly motivated colleagues. You will make important contribution to the fulfilling of the company’s strategy.

Are you our new Research Fellow?

As a Research Fellow, you will enthusiastically establish and maintain effective external academic and industrial networks at high levels, in order to identify, apply and develop breakthrough knowledge into areas of key importance for the core businesses of Tata Steel. You will be able to persuade, convince, influence and impress others at all levels both within Tata Steel and outside to achieve support for the implementation of strategic research proposals. You are willing to look beyond the borders of your own expertise searching for new technologies on a worldwide scale and keeping abreast of leading technological knowledge that will lead to innovative product and process development. It is expected that you will provide expert input into other projects activities across R&D in support of researchers and where appropriate use your skills and knowledge to help others to achieve their project goals.

In addition, you have the following qualifications:

• PhD degree in relevant fields
• At least 10 years of research experience
• Strong track record of leading research programs with successful implementation and publications/patents
