A Research Group Leader having obtained a M.Eng or MSc/PhD degree with relevant research experience such as in Ironmaking, Steelmaking & Casting, Steel Rolling, Surface Engineered Products, Coating Materials and Technologies, Materials Design and Physical Metallurgy, Applications Technologies (e.g joining and forming)

As a Research Group Leader at the Global Research & Development of Tata Steel, you will be the professional team builder pushing for excellence in implementing, knowledge and establishing professional networks. You are involved in the main research programs of Tata Steel and determine the future direction for the products and processes within its overall strategic research vision. You have a say in determining which research results need to be implemented from the perspective of your research group and use your leadership skills to evaluate, coach and maximise the competencies of 15-20 team members. You are also able to set effective objectives and manage the allocation of tasks, while overseeing the general effective achievement. With your strong personality, you are able to create and maintain relationships to identify, apply and develop external knowledge for the benefit of Tata Steel.

Your work location will be the UK, the Netherlands or India

• Managerial and leadership experience in relevant fields
• M.eng or MSc/PhD degree in relevant fields
• Strong track record of leading research programs with successful implementation
