What's your job?

As a Commercial process developer you develop relationships with key end users and channel partners in sectors like Construction/mechanical engineering. Your main view is to maximise specification of the required technical demand and service level agreement with these end users. On the one hand you focus on these existing customers and you intensify them in a way our profitability increases. On the other hand you focus on organising internally that we improve our performance to these customers. To do so you align intensively with customer technical services, supply chain, operations and sales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To set up  and manage working procedures to organize the differentiated product sales and therefore flow through the organization from planning to manufacturing, to warehousing, to logistics in order to deliver the right product at the right place at the right time.
  • To clearly define the required technical demand and service level agreement with the end user, in co-operation with CTS and Sales
  • To undertake face-to-face ‘project meetings’ with the identified end user customers and supply chain partners, to develop and secure procedures that guarantee an efficient and effective order fulfilment process and reliable supply of differentiated  hollow section products.
  • To provide support in all aspects of our products and service, to identified end-users and supply-chain partners to ensure continued ongoing purchase of our differentiated hollow section products in the region.
  • To host and deliver technical workshops with OEM’s in co-operation with the CTS department.
  • To raise awareness of and promote, with target customers in the target region, our differentiated hollow section products.

You will preferably be based in Oosterhout in the Netherlands.

Is this you?

  • You are educated at Masters level and have approximately 4 years of experience in technical sales in the OEM market (e.g. automotive market). 
  • You have a a proven track record of exceeding challenging targets in a specification sales role, with experience of successfully dealing with service level agreements with Clients and translating these into internal processes and procedures to ensure the distinct advantage for the customer. 
  • You are highly motivated, self-starter with a strong desire to succeed 
  • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work successfully alongside CTS, sales and marketing colleagues as well as to interface with operational colleagues.
  • You will have excellent written and oral communication skills in German and Dutch, good command in English and preferably in French.

What's your department?

Tata Steel Netherlands Tubes BV is a manufacturer of steel welded pipes, with offices in Oosterhout, Zwijndrecht and Maastricht. Around 500 people work in the Netherlands of which approx. 300 in Oosterhout. All staff services, such as Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain, operate from Oosterhout.

The tubes are mainly produced according to customer specification. They can be produced round, rectangular, square or with a special profile and must meet high quality requirements. The biggest sales markets are the automotive, building / construction, agri and heating sectors. Our tubes can also be found in fencing, machines, stadiums, roller tracks, cars (head restraints, chairs, chassis), trucks, etc. and many other products.
