Moreover, an exciting aspect is that your work will have a lot of impact: the joined effort of your team will lead to direct implementation inside the factories on-premise. Therefore the result of your work can be seen physically.To innovate even more effectively, our current step is to manage our process-data centrally in a cloud-environment.

You will be responsible for the technical roadmap of the platform and co-ordinates it’s construction through the communication of best practices.

Is this you?

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google (preferable Azure)
  • Experience with deployment of Hadoop and Informatica tool sets and
  • Experience of data science platforms including R, Python
  • Experience of container technologies like Docker
  • Knowledge of Data Lake and Entrerprise Data Warehouse concepts
  • Strong capacity to learn new skills

Prefered

  • Experience with startup or startup-like working environments
  • 3-5 years’ experience in working in Devops teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in speaking with senior executives
  • Solid understanding of the Dutch and English language.

What's your department?

GIS is responsible for delivering the IT capability for Tata Steel Europe – from infrastructure to data centres, network, desktops, applications, projects, digital etc. The GIS organisation is around 150 people spread across Business Relationship, Project Delivery and Contract Management teams supported by the Enterprise architects and Security & Process Excellence groups. 

Cloud Competence Centre

The cloud competence Centre is a new established team within GIS. The CCC has the challenging task to introduce services to the business which are fully based on Cloud technology (so-called Cloud Native solutions). The Cloud Competence Centre will be sourced with resources from Partners in combination with GIS resources.
