We are looking for an experienced copywriter to join our team. You will be part of the Corporate Communication and Public Affairs (CCPA) department of Tata Steel Europe. Own our weekly pan-European email newsletter. The newsletter updates employees about strategic topics, ensuring that best practices are shared and celebrated.As a copywriter you are well-connected with local communication teams and the communication business partners to ensure relevant news is always picked up and fresh. The newsletter is offered in both Dutch and English, requiring the ability to translate or check translations.
Own syndicated content in the fortnightly hub newspapers. The hub newspapers are essential communications tools in our organisation that consists of a majority of offline employees in our factories. We have two newspapers, one in English aimed at our UK supply chain and one in Dutch that caters for our Dutch employees. Some of the pages are created centrally with new content and as a copywriter you will be responsible for creating the copy in close coordination with the local teams and the business partners.
You will invest in quickly acquiring a sharp understanding of our business, its performance and the context in which it operates and use this understanding to support the company’s senior leadership in their employee communication. This may involve support for communication about financial results, columns, blogs, speeches and any other means of communication that engages our employees with our strategy, our leadership and the direction of our company. Your role will also be to ensure the timely availability of these communications in various languages.

Within the Corporate Communications & Public Affairs department (CCPA) you work in a team of approximately 35 colleagues. You work closely together with colleagues within the various CCPA subsections, such as Corporate Branding, Sustainaibility, External Communication.
The Corporate Communications & Public Affairs department (CCPA) is committed to building and protecting the Tata Steel brand and its reputation in Europe. The department has expertise in Internal Communication, Branding, External Relations (Media Relations, Public Affairs and Community Management) and Sustainability.
The main objectives for Internal Communication are: 1) to involve employees in the strategy to ensure that each employee understands his / her personal contribution to the success of the company; 2) support management in communication to increase employee engagement and motivation; 3) stimulate a culture of empowerment and 4) offer an outside-in perspective and provide the various departments with relevant information and advice about stakeholders.
