At Tata Steel, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and free to be themselves. Beyond being the right thing to do, diversity and inclusion are strategic priorities that drive better performance, innovation, and make Tata Steel a more attractive place to work.

In 2021, we launched a five-year Diversity & Inclusion program aimed at increasing diversity and fostering a more inclusive work environment. We actively encourage employees to bring their authentic selves to work and contribute to a culture of belonging.

To achieve this, we organize company-wide events to promote inclusive thinking, provide unconscious bias training, and support various employee networks. Among these are the [Fe]male Network and our Rainbow Community. Since 2022, we have also been proud members of Workplace Pride, an international foundation advocating for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace.

To further enhance diversity, we have set concrete goals to increase the number of women and colleagues from migrant backgrounds in our vocational programs and open positions.

Ensuring a truly inclusive environment means listening to our employees. We conduct an annual company-wide survey to measure progress and use the insights to drive meaningful actions as part of our Diversity & Inclusion program.
