1. Grab your chance and apply

Ready to take the next step? Leave your details via our application form. Once we receive your application, we’ll review it and get back to you within five working days.

Tips

  • Your CV is your business card: Think of your CV as your personal pitch — It’s a key part of your application. A strong CV gives us a clear view of who you are and what you bring to the table. Be sure to highlight experience that’s most relevant to the job you’re applying for, including projects and achievements you're proud of. Keep it concise, focused and easy to read.


  • Watch out for language errors: Your application is our first impression of you—make it count. Typos and grammar mistakes can easily leave a negative impression, but they’re also easy to avoid. Always take a moment to proofread your CV and motivation letter before you hit send. A clean and polished application speaks volumes!

2. First interview

We’ve already had a glimpse of your background, but now we’d love to meet you in person. This is your opportunity to tell us more about yourself and to ask us anything you’d like to know.

Tips

  • Dress the part: Wear something that makes you feel confident and suits the role you’re applying for. For one position, jeans might be perfectly fine; for another, formal clothes may be more appropriate. Choose an outfit that reflects both your personality and the job.


  • Plan your route: With over 750 hectares, the Tata Steel site is the largest continuous industrial complex in the Netherlands. Make sure you plan your route ahead of time and don’t rely solely on your navigation system. Knowing exactly where to go will help you arrive on time and feel more relaxed walking into your interview.

3. Follow-up interview(s)

  • Your job interview: You have been invited for a job interview. It is important to prepare well for the interview and to learn more about the requirements and wishes. Consider in advance which questions to expect and what answers to give. Remember that a job interview is an opportunity for you to determine whether Tata Steel suits you. Write down the questions you want to ask, that way you avoid forgetting them during the interview. 
  • If you have questions, ask them! The vacancy and this site contain a lot of information about the job and our organization. Still, it may be that you have questions about the vacancy, procedure or Tata Steel. The recruiters are there for you and feel free to use that. Call or email if you have questions or if something is not clear to you.

4. Contract proposal

Great news — you’re one step away from starting an exciting new chapter! At Tata Steel, we offer a competitive employment package under our own collective labour agreement, which we’ll walk you through during a personal conversation.

  • Read your contract thoroughly:Take the time to carefully review your contract. Pay close attention to key details such as salary, benefits, working hours, and any applicable probation period. If anything is unclear, don’t hesitate to reach out to your recruiter or HR contact. It’s important that you fully understand and are comfortable with the terms before signing.
  • Look at the full picture: Don’t just focus on the salary — also consider elements like training and development opportunities, pension arrangements, vacation days and growth potential within Tata Steel. These factors play a big role in your long-term satisfaction and career development.
