Your focus is to ensure that governance, risk, quality, and compliance processes are effective, practical, and embedded into the way we work. By balancing control with usability, you enable the organization to deliver reliable services while remaining audit-ready and compliant.

As a service assurance & compliance lead at Tata Steel…

  • Lead the Service Assurance & Compliance value stream and ensure that risk management, quality management, audit readiness, governance reporting, and compliance activities are effectively organized and continuously improved.
  • Maintain and actively manage the risk register, ensuring that risks are visible, mitigation actions are tracked, and progress is monitored.
  • Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System, ensuring it remains practical, relevant, and aligned with Service Management processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, organize evidence collection, and ensure findings and improvement actions are followed through to completion.
  • Work closely with other service assurance & compliance leads and stakeholders to embed assurance and compliance requirements into daily operations without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Provide clear governance reporting and management information, enabling informed decision-making and visibility of the organization’s compliance posture.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, transparency, and continuous improvement across the Service Management environment.

You are someone who brings structure and clarity to complex environments. You have a natural focus on quality, risk, and continuous improvement, and you enjoy translating governance requirements into practical solutions. You are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and can influence decisions without relying on formal authority.

In addition, you have:

  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO or WO equivalent).
  • Experience in IT Service Management, governance, risk management, quality management, audit, or compliance-related roles.
  • Experience preparing organizations for internal and external audits.
  • Experience managing or supporting risk registers, control frameworks, audit findings, and remediation actions.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL 4 or a comparable Service Management framework.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and align stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Experience in a regulated or audit-sensitive environment is considered an advantage.
