As Manager Operational Risk Management (ORM), you lead the operational risk team and provide second‑line oversight on performance, execution and transformation risks across Tata Steel Nederland. You deliver independent, decision‑oriented analyses and early warnings, enabling timely intervention on operational issues and ensuring effective governance.
You are responsible for the integrated operational risk and incident management cycle, including the registration and analysis of incidents and near misses, and determining when escalation is required. You prepare quarterly reports that consolidate all operational risks – spanning HSE, IT, production, quality, cyber, ethics and transformation – into a single, decision‑relevant overview for management.
In addition, you lead thematic deep dives and systematic risk assessments related to recurring incidents or underperforming programmes. You independently challenge root cause analyses and recovery plans developed by the first line and assess major transformation and capital programmes from an operational risk perspective. You define and monitor operational KRIs, embed escalation protocols within governance structures and manage a team of specialists. In this role, you act as the primary point of contact for Operations, HSE, IT, the Transformation Office, Plant Management, Internal Audit and Legal.
As Manager ORM at Tata Steel, you will:
- Lead the full operational risk and incident management cycle and determine when incidents and near misses require escalation.
- Produce an integrated quarterly report summarising all operational risks and performance for management‑level decision‑making.
- Conduct in‑depth analyses and systematic risk assessments and formulate clear, actionable recommendations for corrective measures.
- Independently review root cause analyses, assurance outcomes and recovery plans from first‑line teams, and assess major transformation and capital programmes.
- Define and monitor operational KRIs, lead the ORM team, and serve as the central point of contact for all organisational units on operational risk matters.
