As an HVAC Technical Specialist at Tata Steel in IJmuiden, you are responsible for the development, specification and optimisation of HVAC systems across one of Europe’s largest industrial sites. You act as the subject matter expert for climate control, ventilation and HVAC-related engineering challenges within both existing facilities and new capital investment projects.

Working closely with project teams and plant maintenance specialists, you contribute to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of HVAC installations throughout all project phases, from concept development to commissioning.

A unique aspect of this role is the wide variety of HVAC applications you will encounter within a single industrial environment. You will see your technical solutions translated directly into practice and contribute to Tata Steel’s transition towards a more sustainable future, including the move to steel production based on hydrogen.

As an HVAC Technical Specialist you will..

• Develop and specify energy-efficient HVAC systems for capital investment projects.
• Support projects throughout all engineering phases, from concept development to implementation.
• Develop technical solutions to improve climate conditions in production halls, offices and other facilities.
• Act as the technical expert and point of contact for HVAC-related topics across the site.
• Introduce, implement and maintain engineering standards, specifications and guidelines.
